Pianist Michael Brown to perform Beethoven, Bernstein, Brown to launch 34th season of Chamber Music Sedona

One of America's most sought-after artists, pianist Michael Brown, will electrify Sedona music lovers Saturday, October 1st in a 2pm recital at the Sedona Creative Life Center, 333 Schnebly Hill Road presented by Chamber Music Sedona (CMS). The recital will be followed by a 'Meet the Artist' reception.

The National Theatre of London continues its season with the darkly comic, raucous musical "The Threepenny Opera" showing in Sedona on Sunday, Oct. 2 at 3 p.m.

The Sedona International Film Festival hosts the big screen premiere at its Mary D. Fisher Theatre.

Rory Kinnear is Mack the Knife in a new version of this landmark twentieth-century musical, broadcast live from the stage of the National Theatre.

3rd annual Canned Sedona chefs competition returns Oct. 2 at Tlaquepaque
Tlaquepaque in Sedona will be host to the 3rd Annual Canned Sedona Oct. 2, 2 p.m. Canned Sedona is a cooking competition based on "Chopped," a television series featured on the Food Network. The four competing chefs will discover the difficult ingredients they must use in their dishes at 2 p.m. and the cooking competition will begin at 3 p.m.

Verde Valley Weavers & Spinners Guild Fabulous Fiber Sale returns
The Verde Valley Weavers & Spinners Guild is excited about their second public sale this October. A wide variety of one-of-a-kind fiber art creations will be offered in the sale Oct. 6-9 in the Special Exhibition Gallery at the Sedona Arts Center, 15 Art Barn Road in Uptown Sedona, Arizona. A portion of the sales benefits the Guild and will be used to continue to provide educational programs.

Red Rock Loop History Tours by Sedona Heritage Museum

The Sedona Heritage Museum will host another round of their popular local history tours, on September 29, 30 and October 1, this time visiting historic sites, homesteads and buildings while following the Red Rock Loop road, from 9 am-noon. Space is limited on the luxury coaches. Tickets are $50/Museum members, and $55/non-members and available for purchase at the Museum or by calling 928.282.7038. The Sedona Heritage Museum is located in Jordan Historical Park at 735 Jordan Rd. in Uptown Sedona. The Museum is housed in historic structures on the National Register of Historic Places.
