Jerome Fire holds 40th annual Halloween Dance
The Jerome Fire Department can expect about $8,000 annually from the Halloween Dance to equip its volunteer force.

Chief Rusty Blair said upwards of 500 people flow in and out of Spook Hall for the event, with local businesses getting into the festivities as well.

Sedona Arts Festival features more than 125 juried artists
 SEDONA - The Sedona Arts Festival celebrates its 24th anniversary with 125 juried artists from across the country Saturday, Oct. 11 (9 a.m.-5 p.m.) and Sunday, Oct. 12 (9 a.m.-4 p.m.) at Sedona Red Rock High School, 995 Upper Red Rock Loop Road. 

Returning this year are 2013 Best of Show artist Kim Chavez (sculpture) and honorees Donna and Jeff Tousley (ceramics), Karen Clarkson (drawing), Lisa Gastelum (jewelry), Ed Kolle (metal) and Jeff Davison (wood).

Fort Verde Days: 'Old fun, new fun, anything fun' in Camp Verde for 58th year
CAMP VERDE - The 58th annual Fort Verde Days celebration kicks off at 4 p.m. Friday with a carnival on the soccer field behind Town Hall.

With rides, games and snacks galore, the carnival will be open until 11 p.m. Friday, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are available for $25 at the gate, or $18 at the Camp Verde Bashas' and Camp Verde Feeds before Friday.

The Metropolitan Opera -- Live in HD -- season opens Oct. 11 at Sedona Performing Arts Center
The ninth season of The Met: Live in HD worldwide begins October 11th with Giuseppe Verdi's opera Macbeth. The Emmy and Peabody award winning series is broadcast worldwide in the big-screen format from Albania to Uruguay in more than 4,500 commercial and not-for-profit venues including the Sedona Performing Arts Center, 995 Upper Red Rock Loop Road.

The Oct. 11 Sedona performance is made possible with support from John and Ann Steinbrunner and takes place at 6:00 P.M.
