COTTONWOOD -- Just in time for your Valentine's Day gift shopping needs, its Arts and Crafts American Style! This Saturday, visit 1 N. Willard from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. for the show and sale that has become popular staple of the Verde Historical Society, now in its 16th year.

The $1 entrance fee benefits the Clemenceau Heritage Museum.

It is a showcase of arts and crafts, carefully created by hand by the many seasoned Verde Valley craftsmen and even a few from out of the valley. You will find something for everyone you love. You will probably find some things you will want to take home for yourself, as well.

Bob Lanning, one of the loyal Museum volunteers, has been an active contributor to the Museum train diorama, has been organizing the arts and crafts show for years now.

He says in its first year, it was held at the Cottonwood Civic Center, but the lavish display has since been anchored in the gymnasium and auditorium of the historic Clemenceau school, next to the Museum that the show benefits, a more appropriate venue.

Lanning says the show is so popular for vendors that all the tables sell out before the show. The one-day event will attract over 500 people.

Arts & Crafts American Style, is always held the second Saturday of February. It is one of two important annual fundraisers the Museum presents each year along with the Zeke Taylor Barbecue.

Light refreshments of cookies coffee and drinks are available.

It's all located at the Center of Old Cottonwood at 1 N. Willard St. in Cottonwood
