Sedona Women present 'Arizona Wines Uncorked'

Some incredible wine makers will be escorting The Sedona Women into this beautiful Spring at the May meeting and then the tasting held at The Sedona Golf Resort.

You may know little or a great deal about the Verde Valley Wine Industry, but this program promises to expand your knowledge and enthusiasm for our local "fancy farmers," many of whom you will get to know better during the interviews and discussion portion of the program. And guess how many of these terrific wine makers are women?

Come and bring any questions you have about wine making in general, or specifically about all the growth and excitement of Verde Valley vineyards and wineries.

Since 2006, changes in the law have allowed Arizona to successfully expand this industry and this expansion has made a dramatic economic change (as well as some award winning wines) in the Verde Valley.

Immediately following the program, our Tasting begins. For $25, you can enjoy wine tastings along with a tempting array of foods chosen to enhance your experience.

With the tasting, you will have the opportunity to enjoy many local wines and meet their creators. These incredibly talented men and women have been part of an $8.5 million economic output in 2009 in Yavapai and Coconino counties, and continue to create some excellent boutique wines as well as terrific wines for everyday.

Iced tea and water are complimentary, and there will be a cash bar available, as well. Seating is limited, so please get your reservation in as soon as possible.

This is a program "not to miss"! Please feel free to wear your hat and sun- glasses as we will be ensconced on the resort's lovely patio. Join us for this fun, yummy and informative event, a real send off as you prepare for summer.

All women are welcome to attend. Meet and greet begins at 9:30 a.m., and this free program begins at 10 a.m. on the Patio of the Sedona Golf Resort, across from the Hilton in the Village of Oak Creek. The Tasting begins at noon.

For information regarding how to reserve a space for the tasting visit our website at

This will be our last meeting and event until our September Program.
