Prime Time Fair May 12 in Cottonwood

It's a senior catch-up, tone-up and tune-up. The Prime Time Fair is back, with an up-to-date showcase for senior living.

There's free admission, door prizes and entertainment. Get there early for a big selection of doughnuts from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday May 12.

The Prime Time Fair is presented by the Cottonwood Chamber of Commerce, Verde Valley Medical Center, the Verde Valley Newspapers and the Verde Valley Senior Center. NACOG Area Agency on Aging is a Gold sponsor, and Northern Arizona Rehabilitation and Fitness is a Silver Sponsor.

It's a chance for all mature active and involved adults to learn about the many opportunities to enhance their quality of life. You may not need every service now, but take home brochures and information to help you select needs in the future. Information booths and vendors will fill the school auditorium

This year's Prime Time Fair has moved to Tavasci School off 2939 East Del Rio in Verde Village. Take State Route 260 south to the light at Del Rio and turn west. Follow Del Rio to the end, and you will see the school campus.

Part of keeping active is to have an active mind. Check out the OLLI table to find out about lifelong learning opportunities and what is out there as part of Yavapai College.

Check out the many volunteering opportunities such as Habitat for Humanity or Verde Valley Caregivers to keep active in your community and offer a helping hand.

You will see all the senior living availabilities, and opportunities to stay active, like Curves and the Cottonwood Recreation Center

Have a consultant check your home to make sure you are ready if hospice care is needed. There are hearing specialists to keep you at the top of its game.

For more information, call the Cottowood Chamber of Commerce at (928) 634-7593.
