Where: Downtown Camp Verde

The first Free Fourth Friday in downtown Camp Verde was an unqualified success, and now it's time for the second, set for Feb. 24, 5-8 p.m. Check out what's new for February.

At Fort Verde State Historic Park, gather 'round the campfire for cowboy songs and stories of the Old West. Indulge in that yummy Dutch oven cobbler and top it off with coffee or hot chocolate.

The Verde Valley Archaeology Center, 348 S. Main St, Suite 6B (Fort Verde Plaza), will open its new exhibit of Native American ceremonial feathers and explain their cultural significance.

At the Camp Verde Historical Society Museum, 435 S. Main St., experience Camp Verde's history through the digital storytelling exhibit.

White Hills Gallery has a reception for its new art exhibit, "Merge, Mix & Mingle."

At the Hance House next to Fort Verde, meet George Washington Hance soldier, rancher, postmaster, census official, road superintendent and justice of the peace. At the Old Jail, get your picture taken behind bars.

The Horn Saloon will have Robin Dean Salmon performing live starting at 6 p.m., and over at Thanks a Latte Espresso Café, local favorite Vyktoria Pratt Keating will be at the mic. The Sweet Grace restaurant will have a special menu for $11, including burgers, salmon patties, deep-fried chicken strips and more. Other downtown eateries will also be open.

To get around and avoid parking battles, jump on the free hayride or free shuttle to get to all the venues.

For more information, call (928) 567-6631.
