Mingus Softball Spaghetti Dinner - 2/20, 5 pm: Mingus Softball Players will be serving up spaghetti along with a drink.  To complete the delicious meal, the Lady Marauders will be selling baked goods for dessert.  $9.  Vinnie’s New York Chefs Pizzeria, 1675 E Cottonwood Street, Cottonwood. 928-274-0662.

Guided Nature Walks and Activities - Daily, 10 am & 2 pm: In the morning, join a naturalist-led guided nature walk to learn about the riparian ecosystem of Oak Creek, including plants, wildlife, geology, history, and archaeology.  In the afternoon, there is a guest speaker or naturalist-led activity.  Red Rock State Park, 4050 Lower Red Rock Loop Road, Sedona.  928-282-6907.

Mah Jongg - Mondays, 2 pm: This game is similar to the card game, rummy, but is played with tiles and has only three main suits, Characters (Craks), Circles (Dots), and Bamboo (Bams). Players new to the game must learn the rules before playing. Card Room, Village of Oak Creek Association, 690 Bell Rock Boulevard, Sedona.

Free Diabetes, Cholesterol and Blood Pressure Screenings - Tuesdays, 8 am: The screenings include an American Diabetes Association "Are you at risk?" questionnaire; a finger-stick cholesterol and blood sugar test; blood pressure check; and a brief review of results and local resources with a healthcare professional. Verde Valley Medical Center's Cardiology Department, 269 S. Candy Lane, Cottonwood. 928-639-6509.

Bird Walks - Wednesday & Saturday in February, 9 am: Join a naturalist for a guided bird walk directed at beginning and advanced birders.  Bring your own binoculars; only a limited number are available for loan from the Park. Celebrating the Eagle and the Condor Ceremony - 2/14, 7 pm: A powerful ceremonial gathering with Peruvian Shaman Jorge Delgado, Havasupai Medicine Man Uqualla and Adam Yellowbird to open the 2013 Gift In Shift Conference. Valentine's Dance Party - 2/14, 7 pm: Theme colors are pink or red.  Singles and couples welcome. 13th Annual Pecan and Wine Festival - 2/15 - 2/17, 10 am: The festival is an annual event that invites everyone to celebrate Camp Verde's pecan agriculture and the growing viticulture of Arizona. Admission is $15 per person. Camp Verde Community Center, 395 S. Main St., Camp Verde. 928-567-3275.

Cottonwood Contra Dance - 2/16, 6:30 pm: Dance away the winter doldrums and make new friends!  Live music with new band Contrapelli and calling by Deb Comly.
