63rd Annual Navajo Festival - 8/4 - 8/5: Artists, musicians, dancers, and cultural interpreters from the Navajo Nation. Visitors will hear the Navajo language, see pots of clay being formed, and watch weavers create detailed designs on traditional looms. There are also opportunities to meet silversmiths, folk carvers, and painters. Sample traditional foods: red and green chili stew, roasted sweet corn, and the ever-favorite Navajo tacos with frybread.  Festival admission is $10 adults, $9 seniors (65+), $7 students with student IDs, $6 American Indians. 12th Annual It's Elemental Fine Craft Exhibition - 11/20 - 12/20: Celebrating the talent and creativity of regional crafts people by showcasing fine craft work that demonstrates a command of the medium and a high level of workmanship and design. The exhibit will include objects created from clay, wood, fiber/paper, metal, and glass. Submitted pieces can be functional or non-functional.
