Paulo Scardina shares the beauty of sustainable design

Multi-award winning architect Paolo Scardina will give an inspiring free talk "The Beauty of Sustainable Design" on Friday, March 15, 6:30 p.m., at AZADI Fine Rugs.

A certified interior design as well as an architect, he brings nearly three decades of experience of collaborating with clients on creating the home of their dreams.

His passion is to help people get their designs of their heads and into their lives, sustainably with beauty and inspiration.

He will share his knowledge, insights and inspiration during the talk and a dynamic question and session will follow. This talk is for anyone who is interested in creating the home of their dreams while integrating sustainable design elements.

The whole house designer for Sustainable Sedona he integrates these two disciplines designing new custom homes as well as remodels including kitchen and baths to whole home make-overs. He has been featured on HGTV, in Interiors and Sources magazine, Oregon Home Magazine and many more. His unique aesthetic has garnered him numerous awards including being recognized multiple times by the Home Builders Association of Metropolitan Portland, the Oregon Remodelers Association and winning a People's Choice Award for Interior Design. Before starting his own practice in 1990, he served as the director of interior design for eight years with Ostgren Associates in San Francisco, California.

Working primarily in the Red Rock high desert country, Sustainable Sedona is aimed at green design innovation and excellence.  They create dwellings that respect the land and people of the region. They offer expertise in residential architecture, interior design, remodeling, kitchen and bathroom design, additions, and green building service for homes and businesses.

"The Beauty of Sustainable Design" takes place at AZADI Fine Rug's Hillside location at 6:30 p.m. on Friday March 15. All are welcome but space is limited so it is suggested that you arrive early. For more information please call 928-203-0400.

This is the first of a free series of talks at AZADI Fine Rugs, upcoming topics include the art of Feng Shui with Laura Pennington.
