Sally Peck is featured jeweler at Sedona Treasurers this weekend

Sedona jeweler Sally Peck will be at Sedona Treasures at the Hillside Shops presenting her fine-beaded jewelry on Friday, July 13, 1-5 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, July 14-15 from 3-5 p.m.

Sally is the featured "Jeweler of the Month" at Sedona Treasures, a gallery dedicated to supporting local artist.

The entire month of July Sedona Treasures will feature Sally's jewelry.

After graduating from college with an art degree and a teaching credential, Sally taught grades five through 8 for 30 years in San Jose, California.

Upon retiring to Sedona, Arizona in 1991, Sally took beading lessons to refresh her memory of an art she learned as a Campfire Girl. Sally has beaded over 300 pieces of wearable art. Sally says, "wearable art is a design that can enhance an outfit."

The designs are her own, no two are alike and all are hand-beaded. Sally says, "It's awesome to wear such distinctive jewelry."

Sally's ideas come from impressions from just about anything from a picture in a magazine, to the design on a store front and everything in between.

Throughout the 20 years she has been beading, Sally has won many national, state, and local awards. Sally's beading is more than a hobby; it is an exciting obsession.

Sedona Treasures is located at 671 State Route 179 at the Hillside Shops and is across from the Javelina Cantina Restaurant.

Beverages and snacks will be served during all receptions on Friday, Saturday and Sunday
