4/23/2012 8:01:00 AM Northern AZ Watercolor Society meeting features Spring Exhibition entries
NAWS (Northern Arizona Watercolor Society) meets on Friday, April 27, at 9:00 am and will feature a presentation of the NAWS Spring Exhibition entries. This is an exiting time for water media artists, as the Spring Exhibition is a juried and awarded event, held at Sedona Arts Center in May.
The juror this year is a world-renowned, master watercolorist, Paul Jackson. Paul is the author of Painting Spectacular Light Effects in Watercolor. His work is often featured in International Artist and The Artist's Magazine. He is a signature member of the American Watercolor Society and the National Watercolor Society.
Following a short business meeting, there will be a display of paintings by the members of the Aquarelles critique group.
As always, refreshments will be served.
Monthly meetings are usually on the fourth Friday of each month, at the Sedona United Methodist Church, located at 110 Indian Cliffs Road, just off State Route 179 in the Chapel area. Artists and Guests of all skill levels are welcome to attend, and encouraged to become a part of the Watercolor Society's activities.
Additional NAWS information regarding meetings, workshops, and activities, as well as webpages of members' art displays, can be found on our website at www.NAWS-AZ.org.
