Roberts showcase 'Art & Life Together Is Magic'

"Art & Life Together Is Magic" -- the exhibit of award winning photographic art of Merrill A. Roberts, Jr., and Dibor Roberts -- will continue to be on display at the Art Mart Gallery, 2081 SR 89A #11 in West Sedona throughout April.

The exhibit has attracted people from all over the country. It captures, on film, some of the most turbulent times of the 20th century. Roberts' work is a visual record of the trials, triumphs and evolution of Blacks in America.

The exhibit also includes award-winning landscape photographs by Merrill and his wife, Dibor Roberts.

Merrill A. Roberts, Jr. is a world-class photographer who has captured the famous at work and on-stage. Photographs of Ted Kennedy, George McGovern, George Carlin, Barbara Bush, Coretta Scott King, Rosa Parks and Oprah Winfrey are part of the exhibit. Merrill's work has appeared in the NY Times, the New York Daily News, Penthouse, Downbeat, Billboard, Ebony, Jet, and Essence magazines.

His photography, both film and digital, has been described as equal parts biography, commentary, and documentary.

He has trained his eyes, as he says, "to see what I saw, when I did not see it, and to see what was not there but was there when I first looked at the subject."

Roberts' award-winning work was also recently included in the juried exhibit of the Sedona Area Guild of Artists and a juried exhibit of the Arizona Artists Guild at ASU Gammage.

Merrill and his wife, Dibor, reside in Cottonwood. You are invited to share their world of landscapes, portraits, travel, personal documentaries, black and white photography, and more.

The Art Mart is open Sunday 11-6; Monday-Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
