Jewelry by Jennifer Defoe will be among the works of 50 artists at the Fine Art and Craft Show at the Factory Outlet in the Village of Oak Creek this weekend.

The Factory Outlet Fine Art and Craft Show for mid-April is set for April 13-15 which is a Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 9 to 6 each day. This is a very well attended and exciting show for the patrons and for the artists and always has new and interesting art. There will be over 50 artists at this show with paintings. wall art, fine pottery, exquisite jewelry, metal art, wood art, spa products and soaps, hats, rugs, aromatherapy, glass, photography, sculpture, silver boxes, and more.

The featured artist at this show is Jennifer Defoe of Sedona. She is a native of Sedona, being born here and growing up here, and has a gallery in Tlaquepaque called Room with a View. Jennifer studied at NAU in Flagstaff with an emphasis on painting and metalsmithing. She also extended her education to include the Taos Institute of Arts and the Sedona Arts Center. Jennifer's jewelry is meant to set a mood or imply a landscape. Each piece is unique and one of a kind and she designs around the stones she selects. Her goal is to show a harmony between what nature has created and simple designs which enhance the stones. Her desire is to make beautiful treasures for people to wear and she looks for the emotional connection someone has to a certain piece, then she knows she has done it right.

Among the other jewelry artists at this show will be Dyanne Silver, Patty Hoisch, Glo Ybarra, Viola Chavez, Vicki Norris, Lisa Taylor, Laura Albert, Judy Olvera, Henry Nez, Maryann Christy, Katherine Duskin, Rosalez Black, Gene Sabia, Greg Anderson, Kand Dave and Dena Small. Mel Mendez will have his handwoven rugs, fresh from winning another award at Tempe, and John Wdowin and Al and Laurie Weaver will represent wood with vases and baskets respectively. Ross Mazur, June Hart, Larry Beck, Charles Freeman, and Mark Vranesh will be showing wall art, and Brent Cox, Joe and Robin Berardi, and Guy Schmickle will have photography. Glass will be represented by Laura Albert and Alan Rios. Pottery will be shown by Lawrence Crank with traditional Native pottery and Jose Jiminez with Mata Ortiz.

Jenny Waddington also does interesting red clay pottery pieces. Ed Kolle will have his great jewelry boxes, and there will be soaps, body butters, and spa products from several different venders. Lots of great metal art will be available and if you need a hat for the summer, this is the place to get your Aussie leather hat.

Show dates are April 13-14-15 from 9 to 6 and the show is located at the Factory Outlets on State Route 179 in the Village of Oak Creek.
