Sedona Treasures to showcase work of David Griggs

On Friday and Saturday, March 9-10, from 3 to 5 p.m. Sedona photographer David J Griggs will be at Sedona Treasures at Hillside Shops presenting his fine art photography.

David is the featured artist of the month at Sedona Treasures, a new shop dedicated to local artists. He will be presenting an assortment of color and black and white photography.

David says, "Photography is not only the recording in a man made medium of a natural occurrence. It is an intuitive understanding and representation of an impression that the subject has on the photographer, and the attempt to share that same feeling and impression to others. It is my hope that someone looking at one of my images will simply say "I get it!"

The digital age has rekindled David's passion for photography. Modern technology combined with his classical artistic background makes for a unique and intimate look to his images.

A graduate of Johnson State College, David has had his photography featured in numerous juried exhibitions around the country; Sedona, Flagstaff, Phoenix, Tubac, Santa Fe, Fort Collins and his home town of Middlebury, Vermont. David has won multiple awards through out his career.

Sedona Treasures owners Judy Erickson and Liliana Morales have made it their mission to support local artists and the local economy while sharing

Sedona talent with the rest of the world. Sedona Treasures offers eclectic gems from local photographers, potters, jewelers, furniture makers, writers, musicians, sculptors, fiber artists, and just about anything else that Sedona artists can fit into a store.

Sedona Treasures in located at 671 Hwy 179 at the Hillside Shops across from Javelina Cantina. Beverages and snacks will be served during both receptions on Friday and Saturday.
