Less than a month earlier, terrorists had destroyed the World Trade Center, changing the world and driving markets into the cellar. Some businesses, big and small, shut down. Others went into a holding pattern.

Music scene in Verde Valley has mushroomed
The growth of the Sedona-Verde Valley music scene has traveled hand in hand with Kudos during this past decade.

William Eaton, owner of the Old Town Center for the Arts at 5th & Main streets in Old Town Cottonwood, opened his music and performing arts venue in the fall of 2008, after spending more than a year renovating an old church on the site.

First Friday and Kudos have grown up together
