"I chose the name North Side of Nine for this project because that is where most of the really cool upper structure chord intervals live that I like to use. This is all instrumental music but is definitely not straight ahead Jazz. Most of the songs employ a distorted guitar sound and heavy bass and drums," said guitarist Mark Thomas.
