The May 7 Living Room Concert Series at the Center for Positive Living in the Village of Oak Creek, 45 Castle Rock Road, presents Camp Verde singer-songwriter Mike McReynolds.

Born into family of musicians, Mike McReynolds has been playing guitar since the fifth grade and has played professionally ever since as a single, in duos, trios and in full bands. He's a sing-songwriter who enjoys writing in all genres of music from blues, folk to rock. Through the years he has developed his own style and has performed in all of the major singer/songwriter festivals nationally and internationally.

Currently, he's teamed with musician Starr Hall who plays the metalaphone, which is similar to the xylophone. Together they have created a musical blend creating their own unique sound and are known as one of the more popular duos in the Verde Valley.

Mike has produced his own CDs which are available for sale wherever he performs his concerts.

Founder of the In the Living Room music series, Shondra Jepperson commented, "This is Mike's first time performing in this music series and we are extremely excited as he is regarded as one of the finest songwriters in the Verde Valley and a powerhouse vocalist."

Shondra continued, "I'm hoping that his audience prepares some interesting questions to ask him during his concert. That's what makes the In the Living Room Music Series so different. It's sort of like the Actor's Studio gone music in that we encourage a Q&A during the concerts every Wednesday night so our audiences really get to know the artist behind their music."

CPL Sedona's seating is limited to 40 comfortable chairs, with a stage platform and excellent sound system. These concerts are allowing for an intimate, up close and personal showcase with some of the finest performing artists in Sedona and the Verde Valley every Wednesday from 7 to 8:15 p.m.

Mark your calendars as the line up of talented artists continue in the month of May starting next Wednesday with singer-songwriter musician Oman Ken featured in concert on May 14.

Every Wednesday, the door opens at 6:30 p.m. with the concert starting promptly at 7 pm.

Admission is $10 cash only and because seating is limited it is highly recommended to arrive early since tickets are available only at the door the night of the concerts. Besides the weekly Wednesday evening Living Room Music Series, CPL Sedona offers on-going Sunday celebrations at 10 a.m. with inspirational talks and music as well as offering many other wonderful programs during the week.
