Anthony Mazzella becomes 'Mr. Thursday Night' for Soundbites Grill in Sedona
Anthony Mazzella
Anthony Mazzella

Guitar Wizard Anthony Mazzella will be the steady Thursday night entertainer at Soundbites for the 2014 spring season.

Mazzella is performing between Sedona and Phoenix on a weekly basis so this is currently the one steady night in Sedona you can count on catching his expanding guitar show. His current direction has moved towards Rock Guitar God homage paying tribute to many of the greats with his fresh takes on popular rock guitar standards. Unique versions of classic songs by Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, George Harrison, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eddie Van Halen, Pete Townsend, David Gilmour, Jimi Page, Carlos Santana and more.

Mazzella still includes many of his original compositions in his shows and lots of improvisation, but as the evening progresses the spirits of his influences come out to play.

Soundbites has a lot of rock and acoustic guitars on their surrounding walls so the howl from Anthony's guitars resonate off of all those strings and wood chambers and magnetic pickups to create a sonic vortex of music worship.

Anthony began his performance career as a concert guitarist in New York City. He quickly built up a strong following performing in most every live music club in Manhattanncluding:The Bitter End, CBGB's, Cat Club, Cafe Wah, Birdland etc. Anthony then landed a headlining spot at the BLUE NOTE NYC just one year after street performing in front of it and spent the following years touring colleges & universities all over the USA . He then went on to performing on stages all over the world as a solo artist and as the concert guitarist for world music master Omar Faruk Tekbilek. His original music is composed with a fusion of world influences consisting of acoustic and electric fingerstyle, classical, flamenco, jazz, funk, R&B, Celtic, ambient, rock, medieval & near-eastern.

Do not miss the chance to see this current show if you are a local or visiting because Mazzella always has something new waiting in the wings.

Showtime is 6 pm every Thursday evening and runs until 9 pm. The cost of the show is only $10. Reservations are recommended for the best seating and walk ins are welcome. Call 928-282-2713 to reserve your table. For samples of the music and videos visit To see the atmosphere of the venue visit
