Susannah Martin joins up with Eric Miller for a night of Brazilian jazz at Marketplace Cafe.

Popular jazz and Latin vocalist, Susannah Martin joins up with virtuoso guitarist, singer/songwriter, Eric Miller for a sumptuous evening of jazz and Latin favorites, original and light pop tunes at Marketplace Café on Saturday, Jan. 19 from 6-9 p.m.. Reservations are recommended.

The passion and fire of Latin music richly colors the instrumental and vocal style of the Eric Miller. Miller has traveled to Spain to study the art of flamenco guitar and equally excels in Brazilian styles, jazz, rock and blues. An award-winning songwriter, Eric's jazzy original compositions are featured on his CD release "Time to Live Again", reminiscent of the song styling of Billie Holiday.

With an ability to sing in several different languages and to improvise fluidly, vocalist Susannah Martin adds her jazz and international vocals to the brew. She sings fluently in Spanish and Portuguese, and weaves a spell of sultry jazz. According to Susannah, "the musical duo format with Eric allows us to indulge in our love of retro and Brazilian jazz - soothing, fun, and elegant music that takes you back to another time..."

The Marketplace Café offers an exceptional performance and dining venue to the public with no cover charge. Their musical stage and sound setup is a favorite of local bands and their comfortable dining and lounge space make for an especially pleasing evening. The Marketplace Café is located at 6640 Highway 179, #C7 (in the Outlet Mall at Jack's Canyon Road) Village of Oak Creek (928) 284-5478.
