Two years ago Nick Didkovsky and Chuck O'Meara bought a cheap, no-name guitar online, then began sending it to friends to have them write and record a piece on it. Eventually, the mysterious guitar traveled 30,000 miles and was in the hands of some of the best in the business, from Andy Aledort to Zwerm, with the likes of Nels Cline, Fred Frith, Colin Marston and Elliott Sharp in between, with more than 65 musicians performing pieces of just a few seconds to more than three minutes. Proceeds from the project album go to CARE to fight global poverty.
