Earth and the Next Society
Going beyond the musical experience
Earth and the Next Society gives a rare local performance Aug. 11 to launch the Sedona Community Resonance Point.
Earth and the Next Society gives a rare local performance Aug. 11 to launch the Sedona Community Resonance Point.

International Blue Pie Records recording artists Earth and the Next Society are bringing their mission of helping to create a new cooperative platform for conscious minded business to Sedona with the introduction of the "Sedona Community Resonance Point."

While on the surface, Earth and the Next Society may be perceived as a musical experience steeped in the roots of a classic rock paradigm, the group's involvements are actually much further reaching than their recordings and performances might suggest.

The concept of Earth and the Next Society centers their music around a positive, constructive and empowering message for its audience. In fact the music as described by the group is about the audience rather than being a personal expression of the artist's life and experiences. Its purpose and intention is to inspire the individual and collective to take part in the daunting task of creating social change and a sustainable future, Earth and the Next Society have taken their own message to heart and translated it into additional areas of focus that have in many cases led to involvements in such diverse yet related areas such as alternative medicine and treatments for chronic disease (Cancer, diabetes, heart disease etc.) nutrition, sustainable business practice, alternative energies and many others. One need only casually visit their online presence and their Facebook pages (http://www.facebook.com/EarthandTheNextSociety) in particular to gain an understanding as to how pervasive these areas of involvement actually are.

Behind the scenes Earth and the Next Society are participating in the development and creation of an emerging business and commerce platform that will be, by design, constructed to promote a cooperative model of business interaction directed at furthering the mindset and intentions of emerging conscious companies and individuals. The need for such a platform exists on many levels including the local community level where there is an obvious need and desire in many cases to support and nurture local resources and enterprise.

A journey such as this for any community begins with awareness and a forum for expression, sharing and exchange. Enter the concept of a Community Resonance Point. Essentially the gathering is designed to provide space for local vendors, artists and causes as well as any resource relevant to the community. The opportunity to participate is done simply by communicating a desire to join and to work cooperatively and respectfully at the gathering.

Ideally several local causes that are in need of furthering their awareness in the community are given time and space to present and profile their content. Interaction and communication by all is encouraged. Entertainment will be provided at the gathering culminating with a featured artist performance.

Earth and the Next Society will be taking the stage for a rare local performance Aug. 11 for the launching of the concept gathering. Be on hand for the performance as well as in support of the Community Resonance gathering. If you are a local vendor, artist, cause or resource and would like to participate and share please feel free to contact the "Sedona Community Resource Point" at earthandnextsociety.
