Ken's Creekside hosts Meadowlark

Meadowlark will transport listeners on a magic carpet ride with their original music inspired by the region in a return engagement to Ken's Creekside American Bistro this Saturday evening, Aug. 11.

Performing on flute, pennywhistles, and guitar, Meadowlark creates an uplifting, instrumental voyage inspired by the beauty of natural places throughout the desert southwest. The performance will take place Saturday during the dinner hours of 7-10 p.m.

Riding between worlds, Meadowlark's unique compositions share the places and times that served as inspiration: A hovering hawk takes flight through string-tapping on Rick Cyge's prized Lowden guitar; ocean surf resonates in the warm and mellow tones of Lynn Trombetta's flute. Along the way, Meadowlark seems to change character in "chameleon-like" fashion from song to song, melding influences as diverse as Celtic, African, and Mediterranean. For more information visit
