La Cubanita's Orchestra will be performing outside on the patio at the Martini Bar, Saturday, June 30, 7 p.m.

The seven piece group will be playing their high energy and exciting Cuban, Salsa, and Tropical Music.

The little orchestra features some of Sedona's finest musicians and performers: Larry Czarnecki on guitar and tres, Michael Robertson on bass, Troy Perkins on tres guitar and piccolo bass, Eddy Barattini on drums and percussion, new member Jason Cook from Flagstaff on trumpet, Uncle Marc on trombone and Mercy Bermudez on vocals.

"We are looking forward to playing some fabulous Latin music, from Celia Cruz, Albita, La India, The Gypsy Kings, Buena Vista Social Club," said Mercy.

The little orchestra also will perform original songs written by Larry Czarnecki and Mercy.

The music has the infectious grooves and rhythm of the island, from Rumba and Merengue, to Boleros and Cha Cha Cha's.

There will be no cover for this performance. It is recommended to make reservations for seating and dining.

"We're all looking forward to playing the uplifting songs and rhythms of Cuba to inspire the Latin dancer in everyone," said Mercy.

This past year, Mercy released a CD entitled "Me Llamo Mercy" featuring some world class Cuban musicians, Luis Conte, percussionist for Dancing with the Stars, Carlitos del Puerto on upright bass, and stellar jazz pianist John Beasley, now the musical director for "Duets."

Produced by Curt "Kirkee B" Bisquera, the CDs seamless music includes new arrangements for classic Cuban standards and originals written be Larry Czarnecki and Mercy.
