Sound Bites Grill opens doors in Uptown Sedona
Michele Moore and Stephen Sullins
Michele Moore and Stephen Sullins

Michele Moore and Stephen Sullins are proud to announce the opening of their first restaurant venture together named "Sound Bites Grill."

Sound Bites Grill is located in the center of Sedona at the Hyatt Pinon Pointe. The restaurant and entertainment venue will feature a well needed void in the marketplace of late night dining and entertainment.

Michele and Stephen met working together in Sedona and realized they were a great team. Michele has been in the Village of Oak Creek since 1994, starting with a Coffee Kiosk in the Oak Creek Outlet mall which turned into the Marketplace Café, her restaurant of 15 years.

Michele recently sold the Marketplace and joined forces with Stephen in a concept they have been developing for the past year.

Stephen has an extensive restaurant background of over 40 years worldwide including many major hotels and has opened over nine restaurants for other corporations including Scottsdale Princess Resort, Hyatt Gainey Ranch, Hotel Sofitel and the Grand Wailea, Maui.

When the two met, it was not long before they realized they would be a great partnership.

Sound Bites Grill, Sedona is one of five restaurants they plan to open. Sedona seemed liked the most successful location for the first restaurant as the two know the market and have been successful in it.

Michele and Stephen are joined with investment partners, Ken and Gail Dropek and the four of them plan to open future Sound Bites Grill locations in Flagstaff, Prescott, Scottsdale and Santa Barbara, Calif.

The new restaurant has brought on a restaurant manager from the Phoenix area, Kerriston Krosky and an executive chef from the Northern Arizona region, Richard Long. Aaron Baron whom many of you know from Michele's restaurant will be the acting bar manager.

Hours of operation will be Sunday thru Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. serving food until midnight.

Sound Bites Grill has many fantastic features including the Guitar Gallery ... with many famous signed guitars, "The Edge," an outdoor bar looking over the edge at amazing views, a gorgeous patio setting, a blue bar and cocktail lounge, a new stage, and two large projection screens that will be featuring the performing artists, sports events or available to utilize for private group events.

The venue will also feature professional comedy and variety shows, dancing and late night entertainment. Anthony Mazzella will be performing in concert every Thursday evening from 7-10 p.m. after their "Tasty Thursday" Wine Tasting.

Sunday afternoons from 3-6 p.m. you will enjoy "Jazzy Juice" with live jazz musicians and Stephen will be Un-Corking the Cellar!

For more information please go to where you can see the progress of opening the restaurant, menus, and entertainment calendar. Well known Sedona photographer Bob Coates has been photographing the sequence of events and also has art on the walls in the restaurant.

In addition, Sound Bites Grill has also teamed up with the Goldenstein Gallery and is showing artist Laurha Frankfort's musical-themed pieces.

Call 928-282-2713 for more details. Reservations for parties eight or more will be taken.

Happy Hour will be from 4-6 daily.
