Free Showing of "My Depression"

The public is invited to a free showing of the film "MY DEPRESSION: The Up and the Down of It" on Monday, June 27, 6:30PM at Yavapai College, Room 34, 4215 Arts Village Dr., Sedona. The film and panel discussion is organized by the Mental Health Coalition Verde Valley. MY DEPRESSION illuminates the symptoms, emotions and side effects of depression through witty animation, comedy and unique musical numbers. The film shows how it's possible to survive depression. There will be a panel of speakers after the film sharing their own situations with depression and to answer questions. No reservations needed. Brides & Weddings Exhibit at the Sedona Heritage Museum



The Sedona Heritage Museum is hosting a new summer exhibit entitled "Here Come the Brides - Weddings Throughout the Decades" from June to September 2016.

Wedding dresses and bridal accessories from 1874 to the 1950s will be on display. Featured dresses and veils will include those from several Sedona brides, including Sedona' Schnebly's granddaughter Paula's 1956 wedding, Anne Jordan Jackson's wedding gown from her 1952 wedding on the front yard of the Museum when it was her family's home, and her sister Ruthie Jordan Jackson's long veil.

The Sedona Heritage Museum will once again present their popular historic sites tours of Oak Creek Canyon's historic places on March 31, and April 1 and 2. Each tour will depart at 9:00 a.m. and return at approximately noon. Tickets are $50 for Sedona Historical Society/Sedona Heritage Museum members and $55 for non-members. Space is limited. These tours have historically sold-out early. Tickets may be purchased over the phone or in person at the Museum, 928-2827038.
