Footloose and fancy: Young thespians perform popular musical at Mingus
For some, the cast of the movie Footloose is second only to the list of stars who either weren't interested in or weren't able to appear.

Kevin Bacon's role of Ren McCormack could have been played by Tom Cruise or by Rob Lowe. Lori Singer's portrayal of Ariel Moore could have never happened if either Madonna, Daryl Hannah or Elizabeth McGovern had taken the part.

This film, based loosely on events in a small, rural community in the Midwest, will be recreated weekends from April 15 through April 24 by Mingus Union High School's ATORT Theater Department.
