Rock Around the Clock: 'Graffiti Gold' takes stage Friday at Sounds Bites Grill

If you're a fan of the olden days where you experienced a live musical performance during dinner service then you'll enjoy this fun musical experience in the Celebrity Show Lounge at Sound Bites Grill this Labor Day weekend.

Sound Bites Grill presents an authentic blast form the past with Tom Tayback and The Daddy O's on Friday, Aug. 29.

On Aug 30-31, Sound Bites presents an evening with world famous master flamenco guitarist Esteban.

The "Graffiti Gold" Show is a walk down memory lane with golden oldies from the 50's & 60's. The staff dresses accordingly while you enjoy this genuinely authentic blast from the past. Remember the good old days of Juke Boxes, 45 Records, Soda Shops and Sock Hops in the gym. This is an enjoyable trip down memory lane. Get nostalgic and leave your cares at home, as the memories will fly unchecked as you relive a time when music refused to let you sit still.

This is a cookin' staged presentation, led by Tom Tayback, as he brings you weaving stories of life from the mid-50's to mid-60's with tributes to rock 'n' roll legends like Elvis Presley, Bill Halley and his Comets, Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, Buddy Holly, Richie Valens, The Big Bopper, Little Richard, The Coasters, Fats Domino, Sam the Sham, and more. Music was never better and you can "remember when" at this show.

Prepare yourself for a return to Rolled Up T-Shirts, Peddle Pushers, Penny Loafers, Saddle Shoes and Poodle Skirts. Never again will 82 percent of our nation tune in their TVs to see the gyrating phenomenon of pure rock 'n' roll.

This Graffiti Gold Show is reminiscent of American Bandstand and Alan Freed's traveling Rock n' Roll Caravan. It was a great time to live, a great time to remember. Tom Tayback and the Daddy O's will be your tour guides on this trip down memory lane.

Saturday Aug 30 and Sunday Aug. 31, the Show Lounge's headliner Esteban takes stage for his Sedona Dinner Concert. All of his concerts are memorable moments of the heart with this one adding a special touch performing with his daughter, violinist, Teresa Joy. This is part of a series of dinner concerts he is performing in Sedona. Whether Esteban performs solo or with his band, the reviews are sensational and the experiences exceptional. This concert features also features percussionist Emilio Santiago.

Esteban's name was given him by legendary classical guitarist Andres Segovia, who called him "Esteban" during his years of study with the master in Spain (1974-1978) and in the United States.

Born Stephen Paul in Pittsburgh, Pa., son of a steel mill worker, Esteban saw his first guitar in a shop window when he was 8 years old.

His uncle bought it for him and Esteban says, "It never left my hands."

Since then to the present day, Esteban has topped the Billboard charts many times with his numerous albums, videos and DVD's, and has had first-time music history successes never before accomplished by any guitarist.

He has been on the front page of the Wall Street Journal for his famous appearances and record-setting album sales on Home Shopping Network.

Esteban enjoyed a full feature article in People Magazine as well as thousands of accolades from newspapers, magazines, and dedicated fans everywhere.

He created a musical instrument division for affordable, quality guitars, and one of his big dreams has come true: hundreds of thousands of children and adults who never played before are now playing music.

Teresa Joy finds herself at home on the stage, learning new things about herself every time she plays.

Connecting with the music and audience is the highest reward to her. Connecting as well with her father, Esteban, she feels truly blessed they are on this incredible musical journey together.

This unique venue offers a dinner show package for both shows and a meet and greet with the performers after the show.

For more information, tickets and show times to both performances, call Sound Bites Grill at 928-282-2713. Visit

Sound Bites Grill is located at the Hyatt Shops in Uptown Sedona.
