Old Town Center for the Arts has lined up some great performers and concerts for the Spring 2014 season. A few of the world's elite guitarists, Arizona's 'Will Rogers,' a Ninth Annual tribute to Bob Dylan on his birthday, and more, come to Old Town this Spring. Read below for dates and information.

On Saturday, April 12th at 7:00 PM Anthony Mazzella returns for an encore performance.

Following five previous sellouts at Old Town Center for the Arts, Anthony returns to dazzle concertgoers with his deft defying abilities on acoustic and electric guitars.

For the encore performance Mazzella will feature his electric fingerstyle interpretations of iconic rock covers from Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, U2, Hendrix, Van Halen, Santana, Clapton, and others. Anthony brings a stage full of guitars, each providing a distinct tone and timbre that captures the unique sonic signature of the well known rock classics he performs. He'll also play acoustic steel string and classical guitar songs from his recorded repertoire, including the virtuosic 'Heavenly Guitar.' This special encore concert was originally scheduled for March 20th, but a severe case of the flu kept Anthony from performing, and he's pledged to make this a memorable evening for all.

If you are up for a variety of vintage rock, tender instrumentals, a Morricone movie theme, some Dave Brubeck, even a bit of Beethoven -- all from three guitars, you won't want to miss the performance of the California Guitar Trio at OTCA on Friday, April 18th at 7:00 PM.

The California Guitar Trio's unrelenting passion for following the muse has served it well. The acoustic group's fearless, multi-genre explorations have driven 14 albums and nearly 1,500 gigs across its 21-year career. It has also proven that a zero-compromise musical approach can yield an ever-expanding audience. Comprised of Bert Lams, Hideyo Moriya, and Paul Richards, the group crisscrosses the universes of rock, classical, jazz, and world music in its performances and recordings.

Marshall Trimble has performed throughout Arizona for decades and has become well known across the United States as an ambassador of good will for the State of Arizona. Who would have ever thought that a drop out from Phoenix College would become the Arizona State Historian? What a fascinating life, through the back roads of Arizona! He can deliver anything from a serious history lecture to a stage concert of Western folk music and stories with his guitar.

Bob Dylan's Birthday will once again be celebrated in Old Town this spring. The Ninth Annual Bob Dylan Birthday Party & Concert will be presented on Friday, May 23rd and Saturday, May 24th. Both shows begin at 7:00 PM. Joe Neri, who shares the same birthday with Bob, is the force behind this annual sellout that includes some of the best musical talent Verde Valley and Sedona. At last year's event folk-pop-blues star Maria Muldaur made a surprise appearance. Guess you never know who might be there.

Mark your calendars for these special events and stay tuned for more events at Old Town Center for the Arts coming this spring.

Tickets for the events listed above are available online at showtix4u.com or in Cottonwood at Desert Dancer, and Mt Hope Foods. In Sedona, you can find tickets at Crystal Magic. For ticket prices and more information about these and other upcoming events, visit www.oldtowncenter.org, or call Elena Bullard at 928-634-0940.
