Another weekend of musical variety and entertainment this weekend at the Main Stage.
On Friday, July 12, former Jerome resident DL Harrison will bring his band The Chocolate Fountain Experience to the Main Stage. Harrison delivers a high energy rock and blues performance that has been a staple in Northern, AZ in recent years.
The band will be joined by Tempe legend Corey Gloden and The Corey Gloden Explosion. Gloden has been involved in the valley music scene for several years leading and playing in such high profile bands as Dry River Yacht Club and Strange Young Things.
Gloden is known for being a genuine throwback rocker (think a modern day The Rolling Stones or The Kinks) to the core and delivering a stage and musical performance to match. The show will begin at 9:30 p.m. and is free.
Saturday sees two of the valley's most buzzworthy indie acts in Small Leaks Sink Ships and Of the Painted Choir. Small Leaks makes up in their music what they lack in their marketing efforts, preferring to let the former speak for itself. The band has steadily gained a cult following over the last several years while releasing two albums, and is considered by many to be one of the best bands in Arizona.
Small Leaks Sink Ships will be joined by Of the Painted Choir. Of the Painted Choir is an Arizona rock band that draws inspiration from the musical culture of the Southwest and 60s popular music.
The founder, Frederick Huang, developed a love for songwriting and producing in Tucson, Ariz., while working with Tucson-based artists and interning at the famous Wavelab Studios. In 2008, Fred co-produced the Mostly Bears album "The Ed Mitchell Clinic," for which he worked on arrangements, played multiple instruments and co-wrote the single "Melancholyism."
The album charted No. 30 on CMJ, was featured on MTV and was placed in national ad campaigns. Soon after, Fred began writing his own music and developing his voice and sound. Of the Painted Choir is the culmination of those efforts.
The event runs 9:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. and is free.
The venue also hosts the following weekly events:
Wednesday night ladies' night with DJ Pablonious Funk from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. with dancing and drink specials.
Thursday nights Christopher Robin Presents: Music Mafia -- a multiple act showcase and jam, featuring special guest Micki Free and more of Arizona's finest musicians. The event runs 9 p.m. to midnight.

The venue is open Wednesday - Saturday, 4 p.m. to 1 a.m., and Sundays, 11 a.m. to 1 a.m.
