This fourth annual event, sponsored by True Financial Wealth Management Firm, is open to the public and raises funds for the Sedona Sunrise Center for Adults, the only adult day care center in the greater Sedona area and the Verde Valley for seniors and adults with disabilities.

Auditions were held in November at Studio Live in West Sedona, and 27 contestants were selected to go on to the series of shows. This year contestants are in three categories. The Junior Rising Star division are those contestants between 8 and 12 years of age. Contestants between 13 and 18 years of age will compete in the Rising Star division. Finally, adults 19 years and up will compete for the Sedona Sunrise Superstar. This year there will also be runners-up in each category.

Contestants in the Junior Rising Star division (8 to 12) are: Mia Sadler, Kennedy Shosted, Ellanor Gray, Jamie Alagna, Bella Rosa, Olivia Reinhold, Riley Whittaker, and Rebecca Kay. Contestants in the Rising Star division (13 to 18) are: Danielle Glick, Jessikah Bonner, Julia Koss, Chris Parker, Zachary Kay, Yeseeire Guzman, Shiquarkenty Baylyoperak, Jordan Tortorello, Morgan Bailey, and Sophia Beck. Sedona Superstar contestants are: Dave Coblens, Mary Boles, Karla Bonner, Diane Steiniger, Autumn Bennett, Steve Ray, Heather Kay, Jenni Livingston, and Cindy Holcombe.

Once again this year's Master of Ceremonies is entertainer and singer, Shondra Jepperson who gives her time and talent to make this show one of the best in the area that starts off the New Year. Also donating their time and expertise are the panel of judges made up of music teacher and singer Jeanie Carroll, entertainer and singer, Sammy Davis, music producer Kenny Star, and producer entertainer Dev Ross. They will select the finalists who will go on to compete on Jan. 16, 23, and the finale on Jan 30 when the Sedona Sunrise Superstar, Rising Star, and Jr. Rising Star and runners-up will be selected. The winners will receive prizes, opportunities to sing in the community, and a recording session with Kenny Star. Once again, Clear Aire audio, Janis and Greg Crossman from Flagstaff, will give their talent and equipment to create incredible sound for each of the contestants.

Last year each event played to a full house, so get your tickets early. They are on sale for $10 each; $5 for children 12 and under, at Bashas', Sedona Sunrise Center, and Webers in the Village of Oak Creek
