Fingerstyle guitarist Rick Cyge will perform his engaging instrumental arrangements of familiar favorites at The Mesa Grill Monday evenings, from 6 to 9 p.m. beginning July 16.

Offering a repertoire that stretches from Baby Boomer classics, to folk, pop, blues, and a little Celtic for spice, Cyge's arrangements of music from the Beatles, James Taylor, Motown and Simon & Garfunkel present the spirit of the original pieces in fresh new, sometimes romantic, interpretations.

With a soothing, easy manner, Cyge often captures the attention and draws the listener in with string tapping and his unexpectedly masterful finger style guitar work. French guitarist Pierre Bensusan was a profound influence and Cyge developed his own unique style using open tunings.

Cyge has been doing what he loves for over 40 years - first in New England where he cut his teeth in the vibrant New England folk music scene and, since 1988, in Arizona performing with his wife, flutist Lynn Trombetta as the group Meadowlark. Locals will also recognize Cyge as former Program Director of Studio Live where he produced and performed for a number of highly acclaimed "Theme Nights" as well as from his popular Seymour & Cyge duo and from the Rifftors Fabulous Fifties Revue. See video of Rick Cyge at .

For reservations, call (928) 284-2400.
