Eli Torok-Bacher

Fifteen-year-old first-place winner of the Verde Valley Concert Association Scholarship Competition Eli Torok-Bacher will sing the National Anthem at four July 4 events.

He will sing at the old-fashioned 4th of July celebration in Clarkdale at 8:45 a.m. just before the parade begins.

In the evening, he will sing the National Anthem at 7:45 p.m. for the countdown to the firework display at Cottonwood's Independence Day Fireworks Extravaganza.

He will then head to Sedona to the Posse Grounds Park for Sedona's first 4th of July Laser Light Show.

Eli will sing the National Anthem at 8:45 p.m. just before the spectacular, multicolored laser light show.

Eli will sing again at Tlaquepaque's Sizzlin' Summer Bash to celebrate Independence Day on July 7. Eli will sing the National Anthem at noon.

Eli will sing at Canyon Moon Theater on July 9 at 7 p.m. for the Sedona Sunrise Superstar and Rising Star Reunion. He will be accompanied by pianist Joshua Torok-Bachar of the Tor Brothers.

The Tor Brothers band is an eclectic music group and are quite active in the Sedona area. Some recent performances include Earth Day and Multicultural Day at the Sedona Library along with vocalist Cynthia Strom, and Father's Day at Wildflower Bread Company.

Eli and Joshua will teach a Performance Art class at Studio Live in Sedona every Tuesday starting July 3 for teens and tweens. They will teach a beginner class from 2-2:40 p.m. and an intermediate class from 2:45-3:30 p.m.

The class will include a variety of performing arts techniques including improv acting, vocal training, audition techniques, stage technique, and more fun games and exercises.

Fee is $6 for the beginner or intermediate class, and $10 for both classes (students are encouraged to stay for both if they like).

For more information, including special monthly pricing offers, contact 928 203-4098.
