Sedona troupe celebrates TV classics in song, dance and comedy
A Real Showstopper
"The Addams Family"

The Sedona Showstoppers, known for their energetic, high step dancing, are in their 22nd year of delighting audiences with song, dance and comedy. The Sedona Showstoppers will provide you with a high spirited, fun-filled celebration of "TV Classics," May 3-May 6, 2012 at the Canyon Moon Theatre, Oak Creek Factory Outlets, Village of Oak Creek.

The ensemble features entertainers enjoying 50+ years of life who will sing, dance and perform skits featuring TV themes from the 50's, 60's and 70's. What a terrific toe tapping trip down memory lane. "I Love Lucy," "Gilligan's Island," "Jackie Gleason and The June Taylor Dancers," "Happy Days," "The Addams Family," and over 20 other shows from the golden age of television, will be brought back to life with dance routines ranging from tap, jazz, ballet to modern dance. In addition, the audience will be treated to several song and comedic vignettes.

All numbers are choreographed by Francine LeRoy. LeRoy, an award winning choreographer with over 40 years experience, joined the Sedona Showstoppers in 2008 and became artistic director in 2010. LeRoy stated that she is ". . .very excited to see this show performed. As I created the choreography, I was transported back to my childhood TV memories. I remember how we would look forward to popcorn night as we circled around the TV to watch "Flintstones." We would sing the theme song right along with them. The cast and I are anxious to share with the audience the many memories that came flooding back as we listened to the TV Classics themes." LeRoy went on to say, " these mature entertainers work hard to achieve an excellent performance. I am so proud of the work they do every week. I enjoy their dedication to the production. It is sure to be a great show!!!"

Cast members include Madeline Chapin, Evelyn Couturier, Winnie First, Janet Gorny, Catherine Gunder, Sue Lamb, Karen Lindenberg, Celi Lippman, Donna Oliver, Sue Reller, Barb Roberts, Fred Shinn, Judy Slyter, Bevin Smith, Linda Smith, Nannette Wear, Betty Williams, Susan Williams and special guest performer James Ball, director of Mingus Union High School Theatre Department.
