Sweet Baby Ray won the Phoenix blues society’s Arizona Blues Showdown for top traditional solo act in 1998. He was an IBC finalist two consecutive years. Ray has performed in the Monterrey Blues Festival in 2001 and 2002 and also played numerous times in the Payson June Bug Blues Festival.
