International violin sensation Edvin Marton launches world premier of 'The Diamond Violin' in Sedona
An Emmy Award winning composer and performer, Edvin has captured the hearts of audiences on five continents. His studies have taken him to Moscow, Budapest, Vienna, and the Juilliard School of Music in New York. Edvin has established himself as a true romantic virtuoso in the classical crossover genre, blending classical and pop rock.

Violin virtuoso Edvin Marton debuts the Diamond Violent in his classical-pop-rock show, "The Prince of the Violin," Saturday, Oct. 4.

The 7:30 p.m. performance will take place at the Sedona Performing Arts Center, located at 995 Upper Red Rock Loop Road in Sedona.

Verde Valley Newspapers once again will team with the Old Town Center for the Arts for the third annual Kudos Folk Music Showcase Nov. 1.

Doors will open at 6 p.m. with the performances beginning at 7 at OTCA, located on the corner of 5th and Main streets in Old Town Cottonwood.

A Streetcar Named Desire debuts from National Theatre
The National Theatre of London continues its season with a new production of "A Streetcar Named Desire", showing in Sedona on Thursday, Oct. 9. The Sedona International Film Festival hosts the big screen premiere of Tennessee Williams' powerful drama from stage of the Young Vic Theatre in London. There will be two shows at 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. at the festival's Mary D. Fisher Theatre.

Navajo stone sculptor Alvin Marshall returns to Rowe Fine Art Gallery for his third annual show on Oct. 3, and while we would love to tell you what he'll debut that evening, it's top secret - even for us. "I'm calling the piece Beyond Tradition," says Alvin. "It was inspired by my trip to Santa Fe Indian Market this year. I'm a traditional guy, but I was surrounded by these young mainstream artists. Us old guys need to come up with ways to keep up with the kids, so that's what this piece is about."
