2SUNS Rock band to play at Sedona Lazer Light Show for Fourth of July Celebration at park

Sedona's own socially conscious rock band, 2SUNS are playing for the Sedona Fourth of July Laser Light Show Celebration at Posse Grounds Park, in the upper ball field. They'll be performing their original music 6:30-8:30 p.m., and will be followed by a brief talk from Mayor Rob Adams, and at 9 p.m., a Laser Light Show featuring some of their music, as well as that of other artists. Food will also be available.

The City of Sedona originally contacted 2SUNS, asking to use the title track of their latest CD, "Love Revolution" for the laser show. 2SUNS were honored and felt that the mood of "Love Revolution" would be quite appropriate for Sedona's Independence Day celebration. The CD was recorded with producer Lee Curerri - best known for his role in the Academy Award winning film "Fame," as well as the TV series. The video from this CD, "Beyond the Veil", produce by Aix Battoe of Magnetic Video Productions won the Phoenix Music Award for "2011 Video of the Year".

2SUNS music is dedicated to love & peace. Their current lineup features Gina Donello on lead vocals, keyboards and bass, Gary Bettum on guitar and background vocals, Eva George on bass, guitar and vocals, and Lou Moretti on drums. Find out more at Their music is available locally at Crystal Magic and The Golden Word, and online at iTunes, CD Baby, and Amazon.

2SUNS have played many of Sedona's venues over the years, as well as participating in and sponsoring several fund raising events, such as for the Sedona Food Bank, and the Haitian orphanage - New Life Home in Port-au-Prince. Most recently they played for the 2012 Sedona International Film Festival 'Filmmaker and VIP Soiree' at L'Auberge.

2SUNS has been together for quite a while. They originally formed in New York City in the late 90's. When founding members Gina Donello and Gary Bettum moved to Arizona, they quickly connected with new band mates, composed more music and released their first, self-titled CD, 2SUNS, in 2002.

Since moving to Sedona in 1996, Gina and Gary have had the privilege of teaching 100's of people voice, guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, and song-writing, including one of Sedona's most well known artists, Michelle Branch. Please check out for more about their teaching. Gina and Gary have had great opportunities to study with world renowned teachers, at prestigious schools in NYC, where Gary also worked at Jimi Hendrix' famed Electric Lady Recording Studio. They now have full digital recording facilities at their personal studios in West Sedona. They have produced CD's for many of their students, as well as other local artists. Gina and Gary have worked with Sedona Now Network with sound engineering, music composition, hosting the show Ancient Stones, on location shoots and voice-over narration. Gina has studied many aspects of world music, including ancient classical Indian music as well as yoga and sound therapy. Gary is also currently the musical director and lead guitarist in The Heavenly J's. Eva George is an amazing singer, songwriter and instrumentalist, and is the daughter of Steve George, keyboard player for Mr. Mister. She is also currently working for Caduceus Cellars. Lou Moretti is an excellent, dynamic drummer, has played with many musicians in and around Sedona.

He comes from quite a musical family. His uncle, Troy Perkins, at one time played bass guitar in 2SUNS, and Lou still does gigs with his grandpa, violinist Larry Perkins.

2SUNS is honored to be participating in an event that will bring our wonderful community of both young and wise together.
