Who will be the Verde Valley's next Biggest Loser?

Sign up now for the Verde Valley Biggest Loser Competition beginning Tuesday, Oct. 24, sponsored by Snap Fitness of Sedona, and Allie Ollie Clothing Boutique. This eight-week long health challenge, which begins with an initial weigh-in at Snap Fitness in the Village of Oak Creek on Tuesday, Oct. 24, offers participants an outrageously fun opportunity to get healthy and win prizes.

The winner of this year's contest will receive a prize package valued at over $850. This includes a six-month membership to Snap Fitness and a $500 shopping spree at Allie Ollie Boutique to "pick out a brand new wardrobe for a brand new you," says store owner Allie Olson.

Participants will benefit from extensive, customized health and wellness support throughout the program, with a retail value of over $600. The $280 registration fee provides each contestant an eight-week membership to Snap Fitness that may be used twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, at any of three Verde Valley locations. Those who are already members of Snap Fitness can sign up for The Biggest Loser Competition for only $255.

Contestants will also receive three private sessions with a Snap Fitness personal trainer (valued at $300), an invitation to a high-energy, calorie-burning Zumba Party at Allie Ollie Boutique, "Dinner with a Nutritionist" at Sedona's much-loved Marketplace Cafe, a private session with a personal stylist at Allie Ollie, and a complete, customized health plan following the award-winning Biggest Loser plan.

Nutritionist and Snap Fitness Club Manager, Christine Alagne, says she is looking forward to working one-on-one with participants to teach them how to get the most from their workouts, and how to incorporate nutrition into their fitness goals. "There is no doubt that healthy eating, resistance training and cardiovascular training is the key to feeling your best and preparing yourself for each beautiful day here in spectacular Sedona!" says Alagne.

Lisa Morgan, a local artist and Mother of two, was one of the first to sign up for the contest. "I can't wait!" she said, "This contest is going to help me drop twenty pounds, improve my mood and my stamina...and yes, I want to win that $500 shopping spree at Allie Ollie!"

Hopefuls interested in losing a few pounds, a few inches, or simply getting lean and healthy are encouraged to participate in the Verde Valley Biggest Loser Competition. "We really want to empower community members to have fun getting fit, and fashionable, and just in time for the holidays!" says Olson.

The competition is open to men and women of all ages. Participants' progress will be measured using the BMI (Body Mass Index) system (a healthy combination of inches and percentage of body fat reduction, not pounds) so every contestant has an excellent chance at winning.

The first ten participants to register before Thursday, October 20th will also receive an extra bonus - a "Before and After" glamour photo shoot to add to the list of benefits they'll receive on their eight-week journey.

The contest culminates with an NBC-style Biggest Loser Party at Allie Ollie Boutique in the Village of Oak Creek in early December.

Spaces are filling up quickly so register for the Verde Valley's Biggest Loser Competition soon by calling 284-1592, or log onto www.allieollie.com to register online. "Like" Allie Ollie on Facebook to track the contestants' progress.

Allie Ollie Clothing Boutique is located in the Oak Creek Factory Outlet Stores in the Village of Oak Creek at 6640 State Route 179.
